The first overnight stop in our trip around Northland.
We stopped here after a quick visit to the Honey Centre in Warkworth, where you can see lots of bees working away in their hives. The beach was nice here, though there was a really chilly breeze, so no swimming in the sea this time. We might be heading back here to go fishing at some point.
The morning after we headed up to Waipu caves to see some free glow worms. We saw lots of sheep on the way (yes… NZ really is full of sheep… the woolly buggers are everywhere, although there seem to be just many cows as there are sheep) but unfortunately our torches didn’t work well enough for us to go deep into the cave.
